Chewing on ice however can be an indication of Iron Deficiency Anemia.

No i don't think so it has any nutrition but i am always like to take it with normal water and for chilled juice and i am always drinking it with fresh juices. So i like to use ice.

I can tell you for a fact, your ice chewing cravings is due to the anemia. I could have my periods for months at a time, then after I had my son i was severely anemic. Fortunately I'm not anymore, but while I was and was being treated by a hematologist he told me that a lot of anemic's tend to crave chewing ice. I'm not certain of how few or how many, but that's what the doctor told me.

Ice is, well, frozen water, so it has the same nutritional value of water, i.e. zero. It should be noted though that since your body needs to use some of its internal heat to melt ice to water first, and then bring the ice cold water to body temperature, it can be said that ice packs negative calories.
