Default teen pregnancy! please help!? - 04-30-2010, 12:05 AM

I am 14 years old freshman and high school and i want to get pregnant and have a baby. Is that Weird? Most people my age don't want to have a baby. I know i might not be able to go to collage and have a great life but i want someone to love and hold. I guess i just want attention maybe, I'm not sure. I am a christian and i know sex before marriage is wrong, i just don't know what to do. I know having a baby at this age could ruin a lot of my life. I would love to take care of my very own child! I know i sound really stupid but i have been going through a lot of depression so maybe that's why, i just don't know. I have not talked to my parents because i don't know what they will think of me. I don't have even have a boyfriend so i don't how this would really work out. I also know I'm very stupid and probably don't know what I'm getting into but that would be great if you could give me some advice, thanks!

You'll never graduate with a baby, finish school first

Get a puppy -

If you get pregnant now the likely hood of your graduating from high school are very low

You can't drive, you can't get a job to financially support this baby, you have no housing of your own and would be placing this burden on either your parents or the tax payers - why should I have to support a baby born to a 14 year old?

These are real baby's not ones that you can play dress up with then pass on to someone else so that you can have a "normal teen" life-

It's not as weird as you think. A lot of people think it's glamorous to have a baby as a teenager, but this is coming from someone who's older sister's both had babies that young, IT'S NOT ALL IT'S CRACKED UP TO BE.

This is so fake. You certainly don't write like a 14 year old.

You nailed it...you're in need of attention and what you feel is unconditional love. babies don't give attention and unconditional love...they demand it from you. My only advice would be to speak to a counselor who can help you work through some issues so you can go on, be a kid, have fun, grow up, become gainfully employed, happily married, and then have as many bundles of joy as you'd like. I would ask your parents for a puppy if you really want a "baby" to love and care for.

what your feeling is normal would i seriously would suggest getting a pet to take care of instead until you have a decent job, carer because at the moment you cant even fend for yourself never mind a child....its costs thousands of pounds a year alone to raise a baby.

I had a baby when I was 17 and believe me it is such hard work. I had my 2ND at 28 and that was the perfect time for me.

As you say, you are way too young and don't have a bf anyway.

Why don't you look into getting work experience in a nurse/playgroup or you could offer to babysit for people.
