Default How do I get rid of knee pain that only cracking the knee relieves? - 12-15-2008, 02:31 AM

My right knee gets sore when I sit down. As time goes on in this position, pressure builds until I am forced to extend it rapidly so as to"crack"it. Once my knee returns to its position (calf approximately ninety degrees to femur), the cycle begins once again.I can't keep it extended all the time, as I drive quite a bit.My left knee doesn't have this problem.

You will have to elevate and rest your right leg when you are not driving. While driving, if at all possible, use cruise control. Take calcium supplements and drink milk. When you're driving, use a medicated arthritic cream and or ThermaCare wraps, they make them especially designed to fit around your knee. They provide moist heat without electricity, using your own body heat. You will feel like brand new. Your leg is cramped up too often, and the cramped muscles are tight on your bones/joints. That's why extending your leg as you do is the only way to relieve the discomfort. These suggestions should help you, especially the ThermaCare wraps!
