i dint know what the expectancy is, but its fairly common (though smoking greatly increases the risk) for women to get lung cancer without smoking, some just get it for no reason or it could be due to something in the environment like asbestos

Stage 4 is too advanced and chances of survival are slim. However, how long they will lived depends on where the cancer is. Example, lungs, liver, and such major vital organs... pt may not live over 1 year. Putting such patients under hospice care is a good topic to discuss with the doctor.
