Why constipation occurs? -

Constipation is a problem when a person passes stools less frequently compared to their normal bowel habit and defined as the inability to easily have a bowel movement. They may also experience small, hard stools and stomach cramps. Everyone will experience constipation at some point in their life. This results are a heavy, uneasy feeling, abdominal pain and cramps, and sticky or no stools.
In general every person should get bowel movements of upto 2 daily. It is not a problem of constipation if you are getting only one bowel movement a day or one time for 2 days. But it is not good to get practice of one bowel movement for 2 days. People who have been suffering from bowel movement less than per week should be treated as suffering with constipation problem.
Many factors contribute for the problem of constipation: Low fiber intake from food, Low fluid intake, A lack of physical activity, not having a sleep of 8 hours, irregular timing of meals and even many more.
Constipation is not a life threatening problem but it should not be neglect becoming chronic. Add healthy diet with more fiber in it, drink excess of water, regular exercise is also necessary.
