I have to do a research paper and I would like to hear your ideas on ways to decrease the numbers of teen pregnancies.
Could you give me your thoughts on abortion and making birth control easier to access as well?

I think that we need to open up more youth centers. Have things there that the teens like to do so they stay out of trouble. The parents being involved more in the child's life as well.

You could talk about this new proposition: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=514542&in_page_id=1&in_pag e_id=1&expand=trueStartComments

It's basically about making teens go the the GYNO and getting the 5 year birth control implant. They would get it at the age of 12 and it would last until they are 17.

I, personally think it's a good idea.

I would talk with my children about sex at the right age and tell them want can happen if they don't use condoms or birth control. I tell them about disease and pregnancy that can if they don't use protection. I would like them to come to me if they wanting to have sex or having it.

I have noticed that many teen girls (and boys) do not have a clue about human reproduction. They need educated on how a female becomes pregnant and the impact that a teen pregnancy could have on their lives. A baby changes everything and these young people don't think that far ahead. Good luck!

I think they should have special education classes focusing only on STD's, pregnancies, and birth control. The young ladies don't have enough education about this and I think if they would have like special guest speakers with personal experiences during the class, more girls might listen. I don't know most kids will do what they want anyways but if at least 10% don't because of the class then it will still be some improvement. I know there is a health class but that focuses on other health issues too. There should just be a class only on this topic.

maybe provide a better sex education class
because they are horrible
parents need to come down to same level
choosing friends better
plus its not pregnancy that is the bigger problem
kids rant taught enough about studs and the fact that most are untreatable...........

Distributing birth control pills in high school nurses offices, cause no matter how much you say sex is a bad thing teens will continue to be doing it. Im 17 and am not a virgin. It would have been much easier for me to get medicine from school instead of my doctor.

i believe that it would help if there were not abstinence-only sex ed courses, but courses that provided complete and comprehensive information on protection and prevention as well as covering abstinence.
