Okay, you get this because of something called the law of inertia. When the plane id descending, the organs and fluid in your body stays in the position, that means, think you were at 4000 ft and are descending to 3000 ft, your body tries to stay at 4000 ft and refuse to go down to 3000. And when you go down and the internal body goes up, it sends lots of blood to the brain, so much that you feel pressure on the brain which you experience as a severe headache. And because of the strong pressure on the brain, the headache lasts for a day or two.
