Default Can't lose fat! - 08-12-2013, 02:42 PM

Hi everyone, new to this site and just wanted to see if anyone could help. 3 or so years ago I weighed around 16 and a half stone at 15 years old. I lost weight by eating little and exercising which I know was wrong but I was young and desperate for results. The lowest I got down to was about 12.3 stone. Since then I've put on more weight, mostly muscle an workout quite a lot. I now weigh about 14.4 stone but no matter what I do can't lose fat! I don't want to lose much more weight as I have slim forearms and when I lean over my spine sticks out. I go to the gym 2/3 times a week and boxing training as well as football training and I have very toned, muscular legs but my torso has too much fat for my liking. Also I'm 6ft 2. If anyone has any tips or advice I would really appreciate it as I don't know what to do anymore.

You can go to jogging everyday for about an 1 hour. This is the best natural ways for lose fat, you can also do yoga. Avoid cholesterol and sugar foods. You can do it one month regularly, then you see the results.

Avoid "white" foods like bread, rice, sugar, white flour.

Avoid wheat too

Avoid soda or any sort of drinks with calories or sugars. Mineral water the best.

I'm sorry, but how do stones equate to pounds or kilos? Just a language thing.

Also, probably more targeted exercises will help. What area exactly do you want to remove fat from?

For the amount of training you are doing, it sounds like you have no problem gaining and maintaining muscle mass (which is what targetted excercise is for). For fat however is something different. A few critical things to live by would be:

1) Add more colour to your food. Vegetables or fruit with every meal.
2) Stay away from processed food
3) Increase daily physical activity. Incorporate jogging or some such activity into your daily lifestyle.

Eat vegetables to help you feel full.
Drink plenty of water.
Don't skip meals
Eat five or six small meals or snacks a day.
Walk for 45 minutes a day
Stress less, sleep more
Avoid sugar and starch like bread
Try starting your meal with a salad or soup to help fill you up.
Do easy exercises like squats, sit-ups, jogging in place, or using resistance bands or hand weights.

If your nutrition is in check (lean proteins, low glycemic carbs like sweet potato or brown rice, and vegetables). All that's really left is a good workout plan.

What you should be looking to do is try a workout plan that keeps the heart rate at a slightly elevated level. This will allow your body to utilize slower burning fats. The easiest way to do this while lifting is to do one minute of jump roping, mountain climbers etc. in between sets. At first it's going to seem difficult to get back into the latter sets, however once your endurance is built up you'll be fine.

Also, make sure you get your body fat tested. You'll need to know where you started so you can properly gauge the fat loss.

I think you should do workouts that can help you achieved your goal there are workouts that are made for a certain body part and if you want to lose fat in your torso you have torso twist and this is how it's done.
1. Stand with your legs about a foot apart. Lift your arms out to your sides and bend them at the elbows so that your fists are next to your ears.
2. Lift your left knee to right elbow as you twist your torso. Return to position 1. Repeat for 30 seconds, then switch sides and repeat.

If you want to know more exercises that can help you lose unwanted fats from certain body parts check this page. You can do it and good luck
