Question What happens if a patient wakes up during an operation? - 01-14-2013, 05:05 AM

Hello Guys,

What happens if a patient wakes up during an operation? Perhaps because they were not given enough anesthetic or something like that, and they wake up during a crucial part of the surgery. What is done buy the surgeon and his/her assistants? And, what happens to the patient? I know that it will be different depending on the operation, but try to give examples.

Thanks in advance
Lucy James

This is an account of everything that happens, or may happen, during and around a surgical intervention and sometimes also when complicated examinations are performed.SEO India

If you need to undergo heart surgery, you may be worried about the recovery period afterward.

In many ways, anesthesia makes surgery possible. It sedates patients so that they do not feel pain. Without it, it would likely be impossible to safely perform many of the operations that are fairly easy to accomplish today.professional liability insurance

Surgery usually is performed with patients under some level of anesthesia. While anesthetic medication is designed to numb the area affected, or put the patient to sleep for their benefit, sometimes side effects surface.chat software

Patient advocates are not doctors, and they're not lawyers. Instead, they fall somewhere in between, helping the seriously ill navigate the often complex world of treatment options, patients' rights, insurance and government benefits. They are, in a sense, a personal assistant for patients and their families, who help make sure they have all the information they need to make the best decisions and who make sure those decisions are carried out. Patient advocacy as a career is a relatively new niche created by the increased complexity of the for-profit medical and health insurance industries, though, so most positions are entry-level.

That would not be serious matter, as if a patient wakes up during an operation. Because the doctors or surgeons would give him another injection to fall asleep, or some patient might be able to let it happen in their senses.
