The Roman Catholic Church is one of the largest groups in the world, but some of their views need to change for the present day. Birth control should be allowed and accepted by the church. The world population is increasing every day at an exponential amount. We are predicted to reach our maximum carrying capacity by the year 2050. We are closer then we think to extinction and something needs to change for our survival. The bible was written a couple thousand years ago when there wasn’t anything like birth control invented yet. A child life is not created until egg and sperm come together. By using birth control this process doesn’t happen and therefore no life is taken. By changing this one policy many benefits will follow like; lower global population, increased human survivability, increasing number of people converting to Catholicism, an updated look on the bible, and many other benefits. Why wait any longer for change when we are already at the breaking point? Birth control needs to be allowed in the church and it needs to happen soon.
