Default Can someone help me with my anger problems? - 02-04-2009, 06:22 AM

I get really angry easily, about tiny things and I hate it. It's so hard for me to calm down. My fits only last about 5 minutes but still, they are hurting me, my friends, family, and relationships. When I talk to other people about it they tell me not to worry about it, but I think it hurts when I lash out at them. Does anyone know any methods to help me calm down or control my temper?

When you feel anger coming your way, take control of yourself. Control your breathing and relax your muscles. Violence in anger only comes because we let ourselves get away with it.The minute you feel fury, take out a piece of paper and write down exactly what makes you angry. Something you'd like to say to the person who made you angry. Write anything that makes you feel better - whatever it may be. Then crumble up the piece of paper. And step on it. Step on your grief and throw it away. It is done for. After, relax yourself and get on with your life. You have handled the situation maturely and can deal with any circumstance this way. It's a matter of having self control and not letting anger get the worst of you.It may take time to adjust, so be patient with yourself. Do not get discouraged when you lash out every once in a while. You can do it if you encourage yourself.Best wishes.

Realize when you get angry and think about it and if it's like logical or not. Like WHY am I angry and think about if it's really that big of a deal. Maybe it is, maybe it's not.you can try walking off.... drawing, coloring? take some yoga? there are different things.

i have anger problems as well. It gets me kicked of my sports teams when im always the best player, I have stopped and improved myself by doing the folowing things.Take it out playing sports(play aggresive)study hard in schoolignore peoples commentsrepeat to myself how good i amcount to ten and stop yourselfget your rep back by showing people you change, they may still refer to you as the old you but slowly they will understand you changed and respect you.Also read the book"How to Make FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE. iT TURNED MY LIFE AROUND(IN A GOOD WAY) Good luck and good ridence
