Default How can I lose weight without going nuts? - 07-07-2009, 01:41 AM

I'm the laziest person in the world and have every excuse in the book why I'm overweight and can't lose it. But now I think I NEED to lose weight for medical reasons and basically because I tired of being overweight. I do exercise about twice a week for 20+ mins. (I know that's not enough.) What's the best and safest way of losing weight? Any tips that actually work?

According to me dieting is not easy, you need to focus on changing your mindset because that’s where we win or lose the battle. So start slowly and set some easy goals like cutting out sodas, follow that up with refined carbs like biscuits, pizzas and pies.

I lost 50 lbs in 9 months a few years back and have pretty much kept it off since.

I worked out using an online calculator how many calories I needed to eat to lose weight whilst remaining healthy - for me it was 1500 cals per day. So I then spread out those calories throughout the day, having something small every 2-3 hours, like a weight loss shake, a banana or a healthy (low fat) cereal bar. Then dinner was just something like grilled chicken or salmon with some rice or potatoes.

Eating small meals and often meant that I wasnt ever really hungry and I instantly felt better within myself as I was never stuffing my face. As soon as you start FEELING the difference it will become 10 times easier.

Thats what worked for me because I had the discipline to stick to it in the beginning and then it took care of itself once I saw the weight dropping off.

If you don't want to go out side then according to me Yoga is best for you because it is very helpful exercise for losing your weight. If you did not try then start to search different poses of Yoga for losing weight on web. You will get good result.
