They know what they are doing. Urine is urine. I've never seen urine exposed to air. It's in a container with a top on it. Most doctors offices check their own urine. A lot of bathrooms in the doctors offices have a little door in the wall for you to put your urine specimen in. In this case it does not have a top. On the other side of that door is their lab. They take it and test it before you even leave the office. I've checked a lot of urine specimens.Urine doesn't need a preservative for normal testing.
