i think yes and no. yes you can make it work but no i would not recommend it. my mother was just over 16 when i was born an we had a hard life. she did great with what she had but she never got a chance to be a teenager an that is a once in a life kinda thing. it makes you grow up to soon an you don't get a chance to find yourself while your young.when you have a baby your life is lived everyday for that baby not for yourself anymore.

I am a councilor for teen moms, young women facing pregnancy and their families. I have had so many girls tell me that their pregnancy was planed but in the end they didn't really get what they wanted. In my experience, as soon as these teens become pregnant they regret it. Simply because they are to young, they know that they have disappointed their parents, their boyfriend left them, they want to still drink, they want to go to parties and they want to live their lives. But the thing that they rarely seem to think about is, what is going to happen in the long run? How am i going to raise this baby? How am i going to finish high school and get a good education so i can provide for my child? Who is going to watch my child when I'm at school/work/party's etc..? They dint think about it. So what they find that they need is their parents to basically raise their children because they thing they are ready when in reality they aren't.

if you are mature enough to handle and take care of a baby, go for it. i don't think age matters as much as everyone says. if you are capable to taking care of your child, go for it.
