Yes it is. Hormone replacements can help, or try some of the homeopathic remedies on the shelves. (true hormone replacement works the best, especially with the weight gain and aging process of the skin.)

Yes it is all very normal, But please keep in mind that for each symptom that menopause may bring us, the medical world has found solutions..Even for that dreaded depression & those irritating hot flashes..In fact there are over the counter melds that women can buy at their local drug store to help with the symptoms..Although sometimes it is best to consult your Dr and if you do not have then find one and he or she will more than likely will put you on a hormone that can make you feel like you did before menopause entered your world.

yes, it is normal to feel depressed as your hormones are going Hayward...out of whack! have you gone to see you ObGyn? they can prescribe you some hormone substitute. i personally do not take hormones as i had cancer several years ago and my taking hormones would encourage the cancer to come back.

regarding gaining weight.....yes, some women do gain weight but you can control that with a little exercise. a time will come when your body will adjust to the hormone in balance and settle down.

Absolutely, your bodies hormone levels are in a serious unbalance. Here are some other symptoms:

Symptoms related to menopause are caused by changing or dropping hormone levels and usually end 1 or 2 years after menopause. Some women continue to have symptoms for 5 or more years afterward. Menopause symptoms include:

Hot flashes.
Sleep disturbances (insomnia).
Emotional changes, such as mood swings or irritability.
A change in sexual interest or response.
Problems with concentration and memory that are linked to sleep loss and fluctuating hormones (not a permanent sign of aging).4
Headaches.
Rapid, irregular heartbeats (heart palpitations).
Generalized itching.

Yeah.

The only solution is for us older women to mug teenage girls for their estrogen! They have too much, and go about having sex, and kids, when they oughtn't do. We haven't enough, and are mature enough to have responsible sex, and not overpopulate the world.
