If only one parent is a carrier of Cystic Fibrosis can the child still be a carrier?

I know its a 1/2 chance that your kid is gonna be a carrier of cystic fibrosis if both parents have it but what if only one parent had it would it be 1/4 or is it impossibleAlso if u no any links about cystic fibrosis

The child can be a carrier but cant get cf because it needs both parents to either be a carrier or have it. i did this in bio a while ago,say one parent is xc and one is xx - if x is normal and c is cystic fthe child would get one from each parent and all the combinations are xx, xx, cx, cx so it can only be a carrier and would need 2 c's to have it
