Angry Almost Symmetric Non-Healing Rash/Lesions - 04-29-2013, 01:55 AM

I have had a progessively spreading rash that covers my legs, back, shoulders, and forearms / upper arms for nearly two years now. It started on my legs, and is now progressed into more numerous and larger lesions. The lesion starts out as a red, irritated-looking part of the skin that is flat and upon itching will bleed.

This condition sounds like Eczema, but I have had excema and it did respond very well to topical steroids. This condition does not respond at all to topical steroids. The lesions start out flat, but progress into larger lesions that protrude upward forming a kind of "dome" shape. When you scratch (pick) at them, the dome comes off leaving a "creator," where the skin looks lower than the surrounding tissue.

Some of the lesions start out as ulcerated skin spontaneously. I also have a few lesions/growths on the back of my neck that occasionally pop up in the same spots. They feel like hard blisters, and once you create a hole in them (by pinching/scratching) you can squeeze clear liquid out of them in what seems like an indefinite amount of time. After you do this, it eventually becomes a lesion and the area around it becomes part of a larger lesion and will bleed if you remove the tissue (by scratching). I have attached a picture of this neck lesion.

Also, I have attached a picture of the lesions on my left arm. The lesions on my right arm are different but almost positioned in the exact locations of the ones on my left. This is the same case for my left and right legs, where it seems like each leg has similarly-placed lesions. If anyone needs to see my legs as well, I can provide that. The lesions there seem to be denser and more numerous than my arms, back and shoulders.

I have been to almost 5 dermatologists, and numerous GPs, and no one can diagnose this condition. I have tried treating it as scabies (ivermectin), eczema (topica steriods), I have also tried oral steroids, antibiotics (by way of a prolonged and high dose of diaoxin which is almost as strong as what they use to treat anthrax). Nothing seems to work on them.
