I had health class (I'm only in 7Th grade) and my teacher told us to check ourselves when we can for breast cancer. She said that we can get it at any age. And I found a bump near my left nipple. I didn't get my period yet, and I'm wondering, can I have breast cancer?

Yes, but it's much more likely that it's just some abnormal breast tissue or even developing mammary glands. Certainly much more common around your age. See your doc if you are worried.....

It sounds more like your breasts are developing, so this lump would be normal. As the breasts start to develop they can also have hard bits in them, this is just certain areas growing quicker than others. At worst it will be a cyst.

No. Breasts are naturally lumpy, and that's what you probably found. You will have to learn the difference between normal and abnormal lumps. Unfortunately, it's not easy to learn that. Takes practice.
