Default What kind of vaccinations do babies get? - 12-23-2008, 07:47 AM

My daughter hasn't gotten any vaccinations and the doctors haven't said for her to get any. She's 5 months old and my friend's baby already had some vaccinations and she younger than my daughter.I have asked her doctors about a month ago, and they said she was too young to get any shots.

Have you specifically asked your doctor why she hasn't received any?

i think the first ones they get is at 12 weeks .contact your doctors she should of had them by now.somtimes they dont send you a card out to tell you when to go, its happened to me a few times and they dont remind you or anything so you have to kind of remember what ages they have the injections.

The day my nephew was born they gave him a hepatitis B shot. Before your daughter goes to school she will be required to have gotten this one (and a few others) but get a couple of professional opinions before doing anything. Good Luck

You should be taking your baby to a pediatrician...if you want your child to go to school and not be homeschooled they will either have to get vaccines now or later. It's better to get them over with now when they won't remember it.

Hurray for you doctor!!!! Before you vaccinate, educate yourself on the risk and benefits of vaccinating and of NOT vaccinating. Look at a varitey of sources for information. You are the one in charge of your baby's health. And just because you do not vaccinate, does not mean they have tobe homeschooled. All states have medical and most (all but 2) religious exceptions and a few have philisophical exceptions (which just means that you do not agree with them.)For my family, we take the religious excemtion for various reasons. One of which is that some of the vaccines contain aborted fetal tissue cells from babies that were killed. Plus all of then contain known toxic chemicals including* Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)* Phenol also known as carbolic acid (this is used as a disinfectant, dye)* Formaldehyde a known cancer causing agent* Aluminum which is associated with Alzheimer disease and seizures also cancer producing in laboratory mice- -( it is used as an additive to promote antibody response)* Thimerosal (used as a mercury disinfectant/preservative) can result in brain injury and autoimmune disease* Neomycin, Streptomycin (used as antibiotic) have caused allergic reactions in some peopleThese vaccines are grown and strained through animal or human tissues like monkey kidney tissue, chicken embryo, embryonicguinea pig cells, calf serum, human diploid cells(the dissected organs of aborted fetuses as in the case of rubella, hepatitis A, and chickenpox vaccines)Do your homework then deceide....and keep the doctor :-)

sometimes babies get hepatitis b vaccines (it's a set of 3; the first shot when they're born, another at the 2nd/3rd month check-up and the last at the 6 month check-up).
