What's the best over the counter way to treat a urinary tract infection? If you want the ten points, don't answer in the second person.

there are otc meds out there like uristat but that doesn't cure it, it only lessens the pain/irritation. you have to go to the doctor and get a prescription (usually amoxicillin) to cure it. cranberry juice helps, although doctors aren't sure why.

Over the counter? Sorry there is no way to treat the"Urinary tract infection". You must see a Dr. Meds will help."Ciprofloxacin"That's what my Dr. Prescribed to me.five pills. But that did not help. So i had her call in another five pills. Just took the last one.Not sure if it's going to do the trick.
