Is it normal for your tongue to sit between teeth with TMJ and an overjet? -

My tongue used to be very comfortable behind my front teeth. Ever since Saturday, I've had TMJ and I think it's caused an overjet. Now, my tongue will only fit in between my teeth, and it's VERY annoying. Is this normal?TMJ is not only caused by teeth grinding. I do not grind my teeth at night and never have.

I also have TMJ, and i don't grind my teeth either. I've been reading a a lot on TMJ, so fix the symptoms i've been having. I checkout out a book from the library about TMJ, but i don't remember reading anything about that. I reccomend researching it, because it will help you figure out how to fix that. Sorry i can't really help with your question.
