How old would your child need to be, to be considered safe from SI.D.S.?

yesafter 1 no i dont think sobut i still kept an eye on him just to make sureyou never know

Yes they can. When the death of a child is unknown or unexplainable then it is classified as SIDS. My dad's sister was 2 1/2 when she died, and it was classified as SIDS.

Usually it happens between birth and 6 months. One year is safe.

SIDS itself is extremely rare. It is MOST common in infants from birth to 8 weeks. A 1 year old child dying from SIDS is possible, becuase ANYTHING is possible, but it would be beyond rare, I would guess theres probably like 2 cases of it a year if that many, it just doesnt happen.

I have read stuff that suggests toddlers 2 years old can die from sids

Yes, it's possible, but more and more rare as they get older
