I am doing a theatre production in a city where an indoor smoking law is in affect. The law includes smoking on stage. The show I'm producing contains characters that smoke cigarettes. I know about the fake cigarettes with the powder in them, but I think they're horribly fake looking. I'm wondering if anyone out there has seen or used any other alternatives to creating realistic-looking smoking on stage without ANY sort of burning material? Maybe something with dry ice or another harmless substance? Or, if you have ideas on how to make something that could do this, I'm open to those too. ------
