Default Any natural remedies for headaches and dizziness? - 01-18-2009, 10:11 PM

I am a fairly healthy person, blood pressure and iron levels are good. Lately (the past week and a half) I've been having lots fo dizziness and some headaches. My chiropracter hasn't been able to figure out what's causing it yet. Though it could be related to allergies and quitting smoking (smoke free for 3 weeks now). Does anyone have suggestions for natural remedies to dizziness especially?

i think it sounds like you should go see your primary care physician rather than your chiropractor. But in terms of natural remedies, you should try a red pepper (just smell it, but eating it helps too) to alleviate your headaches and ginger for dizziness.i hope you feel better

Only thing I can think of at the moment is a half a cup of walnuts help to cure a migraine. I get migraines and do that alot. I'm not sure as to why it works or how but it does but ya have to REALLY like walnuts lol

Try boiling some fresh mint and inhaling the aroma with a towel over the back of your head. Its great for your skin and it helps settle my dizziness and headaches if I do it right when they start.

The scent of lavender works well for headaches. I get migraines myself so I use lavender lotions, candles, soaps, and oils.As for the dizziness, it may be an inner ear problem. You may want to consult your family doctor instead of your chiropractor.

Hi Erin, as basic as this may seem... and yes even GPs forget to ask this question, are you drinking enough water? The recommended amount is 8-10 glasses of water per day for people 13+ years. By the time you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated, being dehydrated can cause awful headaches and dizziness along with depressed mood and other unwanted ailments.
