What are the symptons of having a swollen gland? -

I went to a football game two nights ago and left having a sore throat from screaming. The next morning I knew I would have no voice, but when I woke up, I had a lump right under my jaw. Everyone seems to think it's a swollen gland. What symptons would this cause? ------
