Default Excessive sweating with menopause not just at night but through the day as well!!!!? - 06-21-2010, 01:07 AM

Hi I am hoping someone else may be experiencing similar menopausal symptoms to myself because if there not there must be something else wrong with me. Well I have been going through menopause for around 3 years now I have not had a period in at least 2 years my main symptom is sweating profusely not just at night but also all through the day 24 hours and not just here and there it is constant at least 4-6 times per hour sometimes more it never seems to stop and is driving me crazy this has been going on for too long and it is really getting me down, I have been told that because I come from a European background (my father was Italian) that Europeans get it worse than other backgrounds but I am not 100% sure about this one my main complaint is the sweating is there anyone else out there that is going through a similar experience whilst going through menopause. I have also heard that marijuana will ease my symptoms has anyone else tried this and if it works how to I go about getting some before I go mad or is there another alternative other than HRT, desperate please help and thank you for your input.

Try a Health Shop for an alternative fix. Also get a referral from your doctor to go to a specialist menopause clinic and try the cream. Or you can see your local drug dealer but i have doubts as to the good of marijuana for excessive sweating.

Its called Hot flashes - Many women have hot flashes around the time of menopause. They may be related to changing estrogen levels. Hot flashes may last a few years after menopause. A hot flash is a sudden feeling of heat in the upper part or all of your body. Your face and neck become flushed. Red blotches may appear on your chest, back, and arms. Heavy sweating and cold shivering can follow, accompanied by heart palpitations, dizziness, and headaches. Flashes can be very mild or strong enough to wake you from your sleep (called night sweats). Most hot flashes last between 30 seconds and 10 minutes.

While menopause is a natural and expected process for every woman, the associated symptoms can be difficult and trying on both physical and emotional levels. Many women are now turning to the use of natural herbal and homeopathic remedies to counteract these symptoms and nature has a medicine chest of ingredients that suit this purpose. Black coho sh is one such herbal ingredient that is well know for its ability to support estrogen balance in the body and treat a number of menopause related symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and vaginal dryness.

Other highly successful ingredients for the treatment of menopausal symptoms include Basque flower which supports female health and sooths the nervous system, and Dong Quai which works to support the balance of female hormones while treating many of the symptoms related to PMS and menopause.

Sorry about your experiences. I'm close to menopause and not looking forward to it!
For an alternative to HRT you can try homeopathic natural menopause remedies.

While menopause is a natural and expected process for every woman, the associated symptoms can be difficult and trying on both physical and emotional levels. Many women are now turning to the use of natural menopause remedies to counteract these symptoms.

An herbal menopause remedy has the ability to support estrogen balance in the body and treat a number of menopause related symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and vaginal dryness.

Many doctors are early in prescribing radical treatments such as Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) without fully educating patients on the risks and side-effects associated with the treatment.

Before embarking on a radical treatment plan, consider using a 100% safe, effective, natural herbal menopause remedy alternative.

Two pr oven homeopathic natural menopause remedies are:

MellowPause: Supports the temperature regulating mechanisms of the body to address hot flashes commonly associated with the change of life, promotes healthy sleep patterns and encourages balanced mood. MellowPause supports overall systemic health, without compromising health or risking serious side effects.

Dong Quai has been used for centuries by Asian healers to balance female hormones and to prevent the troublesome PMS and menopause symptoms.

You can find more info and where to purchase at the below cited web pages:

There is no alternative remedy that will get rid of the sweats. Most of those alternative remedies end up costing fortune and doing very little good. Anything with me no on the packet just doubles the price as the alternative remedies market target women suffering from menopausal symptoms.
I use Bio Identical hormone therapy tailored to my individual requirements. The Sucre stories about hormones are grossly exaggerated. The breast cancer risk rises from 43/1000 to 44/1000.

Yes, this is a normal menopause symptom - day and night (sigh). I am Italian also (hey, how do you like your new mustache? oi...). I used soy for my symptoms. I know there is some concern over soy products but I used them for years and had no problem - they were a great help to me.
