Without repeating what the previous people have said, I'll also add that some women experience early onset menopause which is a concern for those who may have wanted more children. Once a woman is no longer menstruating (having her period), she is unable to get pregnant. Hope this helps!

Menopause is when you stop menstruating and you can no longer have children. You can start in your late 30's into your 50's. You get hot flashes, cry for no reason, get depressed, things like that. You need to see a gynecologist who may want to put you on hormone melds. I didn't want any because they can cause side effects and I am doing fine. All those symptoms come and go...It is a natural thing for women to go through....

The ceasing of ones menstrual period after a year. The lead up or promenades can last anywhere from 7-13 years. You get hot flashes, night sweats, crankiness, vaginal itchiness as well as vaginal dryness. Some women's PMS is even worse during promenades.SEPeople who are post menopausal are suspetible to osteoporosis.

There is hormon replacement therapy available to alleviate some of the symptoms but it's an individaul case by case discussion with your family doctor.

Menopause is an event that happens to women once there bodies have decided not to bleed any more. Women bleed every month so that one day they can have babies and when Menopause hits about 50 years of age, its when all the bleeding goes away for ever. Most women going through menopause are very moody and may cry alto - they aren't sure what is happening but the outcome couldn't be better! No more periods!!!! Hope this helps!

Menopause is a naturally-occurring biological process which signifies the cessation of reproductive ability of a woman. The ovaries stop producing ova, menstrual cycles decrease in frequency and eventually stop, and there is a decreased production of the female hormones - estrogen and progesterone . There is usually more than a hormonal shift involved - there is an accompanying emotional shift.
