Menopause, like many of the changes in a woman’s body through her lifetime, is caused by changes in hormone levels.
The ceasing of one's menstral period after a year. The lead up or perimenopause can last anywhere from 7-13 years. You get hot flashes, night sweats, crankiness, vaginal itchiness as well as vaginal dryness. Some women's pms is even worse during perimenopause. People who are post menopausal are suspetible to osteoporosis.
