Default Got a tick bite if it had Lyme disease how long to notice symptoms? - 05-08-2009, 10:07 PM

The tick was on me I guess for about 4 hrs. I took it off and I have like a red mark but I assume because I was bitten. I do feel warmer around my face area but I don't know if that could be because of the weather (it's rainy and somewhat humid)
I got it yesterday I went to a trail with my dog. My dog doesn't have any I checked. So that was around after 6 pm. Then like at past 11 pm I noticed it after I took a shower. It was a small one and it was a deer tick.

When did this happen? Sometimes it can take months to show up. seriously. I had Lyme disease for at least a year and didn't even know it. then i got really sick after it suppressed my immune system enough and made me really sick. i never remembered a tick

You should go and get a blood test done. How long has it been since you saw the tick? It takes a little while for the antibodies to Lyme disease to show up in your blood. id say give it a few days and go get a blood test from a doctor

Ticks and other biting insects will always have Lyme bacteria. My whole family (Mom, dad, brother, two sisters and myself) have it. I didn't have a bite so I had probably gotten it from either living in the woods with a lot of mosquitoes, breast milk or birth. Since you gotten a tick bite, your chances of Lyme Disease or Tick Borne Disease (same as Lyme) is veryTyigh. Symptoms depend on what kind of Lyme. There are over Hundreds maybe thousands of Tick species and Hundred kinds of Lyme. I went to a Lyme doctor for symptom checks and treatment.

The symptoms are:
Muscles twitching/spasms
Joint pain
Muscle pain
spike fevers
constant sweats
confusion
emotional (rage,anger, depression...)
Weird confusing dreams
fatigue
heart flutters
period problems
testicle problems
pains in chest
rashes/eczema
ringing/ hissing sounds in the ears

Other serious symptoms are:
MS
blindness
disabilities (autism, ADD,ADHD, retarded)
Heart issues
organ problems
paralysis
and many more

Lyme disease is really scary! Its an epidemic and no one knows about it. Insurance doesn't always cover for the medications. And there's no cures! Many people and hospitals say there is but they don't know what Lyme is. Thats why is hard to find a doctor who specializes Lyme and understands it. I've been diagnosed 2-3 years ago, and Im still on medications and supplements to help my issues. Its best if you get a CD-57 test. If the results are 80 or over thats great but if its under 57 thats not good. The only diseases that show up on the CD-57 test is AIDS and Lyme.

I hope this helped you, I know it's scary, I've been scared when I found out I had Lyme. But once you get treatment and have it as your daily routine you'll be okay. But unfortuatly Lyme is permanant.

You need to start antibiotics ASAP! There is a small window of opportunity where you can kill the Lyme and not develop a more serious long term illness. Contrary to what many people say, the tick does not need to be attached for 36+ hours before transmission can occur. Starting prophylaxis now is you best bet. Please take this seriously because Lyme can be deadly if not treated early on... I went undiagnosed for over a decade and have dealt with life threatening complications because of it (such as acute kidney and respiratory failure, paralysis, seizures, etc.)
