Its sound more like dyslexia a visual processing disorder, and the information it sees misinterprets it incorrectly, making it difficult to learn in the normal way.Dyslexia is a reading, writing, spelling, numbers&symbols, memory problems.Dyscalculia is having difficulty with maths, which sounds she does not have.Dysgraphia is having difficulty in writing properly.Has she been assessed for a learning disability? Ideally she needs to be assessed by a school or educational psychologist, who will do a full assessment on every aspect of schooling, social interaction etc. There many things to support and help a dyslexic student in the classroom and at home. If you would like some more information please contact me, as I have number to strategies which have helped my daughter and I, we are both dyslexic and have dyscalculia, my daughter also has dysgraphia.I am a Youth&Disability support worker, and sessional teacher, with a special interest in learning disabilities, especially dyslexia. And use the same strategies that work for my daughter and I, on my students.
