It's not bad at all. You'll meet the Dr. and have a little talk. They most likely will take blood to see where your hormones stand. They might even do a ultrasound of your overies to see if you have any cysts, check your uterus for fribroids, utrine size, etc., to possibly start you on the infertility meds if that is what is decided and your hormones are at the right place. These meds will regulate you while your on them. They force more eggs to mature and than your given more drugs later in the cycle to make you release them on time. IF you are put the on the drugs, you'll be seeing a lot of these folks in your month. After so many days (determined by the Dr.) you go back for blood work and ultrasounds for them to measure how high your hormones are going and the size of the eggs your maturing. They readjust your medication by doing this. In a normal cycle which you will have doing this, you can expect to visit them anywhere between 3 to 5 visits a month. Some Dr.'s require more visits than others.Ask question, enjoy this a little. Remember your paying for this and it's not cheap at all. I loved to see the screen on the ultra sound and always asked them to tilt it my way as they were measuring each folicule.Don't get super disappointed if your not pregnant in the first month. Anyone I know that has done this never got pregnant in the first month. I bet many do but, I never meet anyone yet. Maybe our bodies just need to get used to all of this and it can be very stressful. Here's some fun triva for you. The infertility drugs I took years ago listed how they were made. It actually said (I'm not lying) it came from post menapausal nuns peeing in a vat. Just try to picture that one! :O) I keep picturing steep stairs going up to a huge brown vat.Good LuckSorry spell check isn't working and I'm not a fantastic speller.
