Can hormone levels be seen with blood tests? -

Been in pain a lot for a very long time (over 18 months) and it's getting worse. Had lots of tests and we think it's gynecological. The pain is there pretty much all the time and comes and goes in different strengths but it's always worse around the time of my period.I haven't had my hormone levels checked. Do they do this by blood tests? Could incorrect hormone levels have something to do with my pain?I'm planning to see my GP again soon and I'm going to ask if I can have it checked out.
Yes, hormone levels can be detected via blood testing. Pain, though not uncommon during this time of the month, is your body's way of telling you something is wrong. (Yes, I know, it is a simple truth.) Often, though, people ignore it, and I guess, I'd rather be safe than sorry. Going to your doc is a wonderful idea. Good luck!
Sure blood tests can check for hormone levels, but they may not be related to you pain.Discuss it with your GP. Ask him to refer you to a specialist if he cannot help as their are many possible reasons why the levels of pain will change around your period.
