Help I'm confused about Hepatitis!? -

Okay, So my boyfriend's father has Hepatitis. I know he got it in the 90's. I'm not entirely sure If it is A, B, C, or D. He got it from tainted blood when he had heart surgery. But anyway my boyfriend is 19. Does that mean my boyfriend could have Hepatitis as well? Since his mom had conceived him after his father got hepatitis? Wb his little brother who was born in 97' ?
* Basically what I'm asking is their a possibility that my boyfriend has it? Is there any way to tell without him giving a liver sample? |

If it is Hep B it is unlikely to have been passed from your boyfriends father to his mother and onto your boyfriend as this is only transmitted through bodily fluids that contain blood. Hep A and and C can both be sexually transmitted so that is a possibility. Hep D can only survive in the presence of Hep B and is relatively rare. If you are concerned you should have yourself and your boyfriend tested.
