How do you comfort a grieving football fan? -

My sweet boyfriend is a die-hard Steelers fan. Their performance this year just keeps on tearing his heart out and stomping on it... How can I comfort him? Up to now I've been too scared to say anything b/c it might bring him more pain. I personally do not have a team preference. Thanks! ------
