What problems do people with flat feet have? -

I want answers from people who are flat-footed and have encountered problems as a result of their condition, not answers pulled off web sites. Thanks.

Ahhh working long hours when your not allowed to sit. Seriously, I would work 7-8 hour shifts and it was very painful. Just being on your feet all the time hurts eventually. So, I went out and bought Dr. Scholls (sp?) which gave me support for about 2 weeks before it started hurting again.

People with collapsed arches (flat feet or pes planus) have biomechanical changes to their body. They experience feet pain such as plantar fasciitis or ankle pain. Since the feet collapse and rotates their foot inwards, it causes changes to the knees and they have pain on the insides. Further changes to the knees results in hip rotation and pain at the hip. Hip rotation causes rotation to the lumbar spine, and pain in the low back. Lumbar rotation travels up to affect the thoracic and cervical region, causing pain in the shoulders and neck.
