Having had diabetes myself for over forty years, I have found that there really aren't"diabetic"receipes. Diabetics eat the same food as anyone else, its only that the portions have to be managed. A balanced diet of carbs, proteins, vegs and fruits (The same that is recommended for everyone.) I think you will find that your guest will be happy if you just prepare your normal fare. We can even eat a small serving of regular dessert occaisionly. Hope this helps.

American Diabetic Association has a website and a magazine that has recipies and a great guide for care of people with diabetes...I am diabetic and find it a great resource.

Buttermilk rolls that are easy to make and done in no time.

Mozzarella, parmesan and cheddar cheeses combined with corn in a creamy mushroom sauce, served over noodles.

An elegant, moist coffee cake made lighter in calories by using unsweetened apple sauce and light sour cream.

there isn't any typical diet for the diabetics. they too consume the same food as normal individuals do. the only difference is that they are to cut down the sugar intakes. anything like diabetic diet is just a hype created out of marketing campaigns. you can consult your doctor in that case.

Well, diabetic patients are same as normal people. They eat the same food but with precautions. They should not eat sweets as consuming sugar is harmful for their health. Moreover, they need to include more vitamins and nutrients in the regular diet.
