These past few days I've been trying to figure out whats wrong with me.But i still can't even figure out if i even have a problem, I guess I'm just trying to find something to do. But the only thing is, I cant do anything that use to interest me anymore. Which brings me back to my question (what is the difference between depression and boredom?). If anyone can can tell me what they think please don't hesitate or hold back on commenting.

Google"depression symptoms"and check that. Mild depression (a slump) is common but if it's constant then you should seek help.

Hello to all

Sometimes it is really difficult to find out that what is wrong with you. You are sure that you have a problem but you don't know what it is. The only thought that comes into your mind again and again is that you can't do anything. You just try to find something to do and nothing attracts you anymore. Then the question comes into your mind - either it is depression or boredom?
Boredom means when you are totally free and looking here and there for something to do. People try to pass this time by watching T.V or overeating. It is an emotional stage during which people have lack of activities or don't enjoy the activities available around them. They fail to concentrate on the current activity and always try to find something new and interesting.
Whereas depression means lack of interest, energy and spark in your life. People suffering from depression make a hard shell around them and allows them to get out of neither it nor anybody get in. boredom can be controlled by so many ways but depression can not.
If you really want to come out of this confusion, you have to make a self-analysis. If you are having all the symptoms of depression like less sleep, less appetite, irritability, memory loss, loss of interest, thoughts of death and suicide etc., and then you must go for help.

Boredom means that when you complete freedom, here and there looking for things to do. It is an emotional phase, during which people do not enjoy the lack of activities or the activities around them. They do not focus on current activities, always trying to find new and interesting things.
The depression is the lack of interest, energy and spark in your life. Depression so that the hard shell around them, neither let them out, and no one can control so much into the boring way, but not depression.

boredom is something that will go away once you do something which you enjoy. however boredom can infact turn into a depression. if you dont give your brain and body activities then your brain "misfires" and is will either make you paranoid (give you something to think about to stop you from being bored) or depression. its trying to keep you sane!!
also its trying to get you so low in spirit it gives you the boost to say "sod this and do something". years and years of evolution!!!

the human is a very complex organism. That survival is the main objective.

depresson is normally when you have no energy. The most common sign of depression is when you wake up you feel really down, it normally subsides in the day time at work etc. (depending on how ssevere it is) and it will come back at night just before you go to bed.
