Default Help with losing weight and chronic Fatique? - 12-12-2008, 02:50 AM

I am 32, I have Chronic Fatique AND Low blood sugar, I am a pescatarian which means I don't eat meat only fish. I had put on some weight from all the health issues I have had, I didn't know what was wrong with me and it took them so long to figure all this out. I was always an energtic person. I have hiked 2 miles everyday, Power walked every day for 30 minutes and aerobic exercises for an hour for 3-4 times a week and still can not lose weight, I also can't do as much due to the Chronic fatigue, I do eat healthy. I need help in knowing what kind of exercises I can do to eat weight and foods to eat for energy, I am at my witts end. I am not lazy and I have done everything right and can't understand why I can't lose weight. My husband lost 30 lbs trying to support me, Its frustrating, help.

Maybe you need to get your thyroid tested.OTHERWISE.. All I can do is recommend.. my grandma is unable to walk (foot problems) so to get her exercise she kicks her legs up and down while sitting, and waves her arms (does arm circles). Just find little things to do for yourself in addition to the things youre doing.. And ask your doctors for help!

Stick with the working out for sure. Choose an aerobic activity that you enjoy and try to do it for 30 minutes a day 5 days a week.As for the eating I would suggest that you count the calories. Write down exactly what you eat each day in a journal and record how many calories each item contains. The only way you are going to lose weight is if your body is burning more calories than you are taking in. You can find a calculator online that will tell you how many calories someone of your current weight should take in to lose weight.Don't be discouraged! Also, the actual weight you see on the scale is not a good indicator of anything, because by working out you are more than likely increasing the amount of muscle in your legs and also burning fat. The problem is that muscle weighs more than fat so the actual weight you see on the scale may stay the same or even go up when you exercise!A better indicator of your physical condition is the way your clothes fit you! Good luck and stick with it!
