Default What herbal supplements are best for fibromialgia&chronic fatigue? - 01-02-2009, 09:40 AM

I was diagnoised 12 years ago. Since I started going thru menopause (at 42) it seems to have compounded my fibro and fatigue. I have lost all of my energy, I do well to make it thru a day. Life is no longer enjoyable because I am always tired and can not even take care of my responsibilities as a wife and mother. I take an antidepressent and a very good calcium w/mag supplement. Any advice about any other natural supplements I may need to add that will help with the fibro and fatigue?

You need to take two daily multivitamins. It is of my opinion though, that Fibromyalgia is a'made up'disease. It's not real. It's what doctors diagnose when they don't know what's wrong. Find a better doctor to tell you why you don't have any energy. I bet 100 bucks you have an underlying condition.

I know of a product that can provide alot of energy to your cells and your body. Go to the website on the source and look at the product known as Indinine. Any additional info feel free to email me at ckh.james@gmail.com.

I hate it when people that don't have Fibromyalgia call it a'made up'disease. They may not mean it like it sounds but the pain I have on a daily basis is definitely not'made up.'Have your hormones checked and see what your body is lacking.Pharmacys have a'Saliva Test'you can purchase that tells you all that. There is also a blood test that some believe is more accurate.Maybe your Dr or better yet your Pharmacist hopefully is trained in Bio-Identical Hormones will read it and advise you on your minerals and supplements. This covers so much.My sleep apnea affects my sleep, so a'sublingual Melatonin'helps me there.Thereby if I toss in turn(which makes me hurt) I can still get a restful and deep sleep by not really waking up and I'm not fatigued in the am.A magnesium supplement is also very beneficial.(Magnesium-L-Aspartate Hydrochloride (MAH).

Hi I have Fibromyalgia and ME since 2000 I am sorry to hear you have been afflicted now for 12 years. Does your husand and family be supportive I understand it is hell when their not it make it quite a battel against the odd's when you hurt all over but you look well.Your question as well as the antidepressant and and calcium I take a few others alternative remedies.Starflower Oil for the joints I'm vegetarian and cant take cod liver oil. Can Mar roasted flax seed no gm's to help the whole body's organs. 100% Rose - Hip [Litozin] for joint health and joint tissue growth. Kefir which is a probotic supplement for my body organs functions - made with soya milk no gm's and not commercial one in supermarket I make my own.I don't take Flue injections as very bad for your general well being -instead about October for 4 months I take Echinacea Tincture drops to boost my immune system.I drink 8 glasses of magnetic filtered water per day to detox toxins. I juice a combination of fruit and vegetables twice per day. I use 2 - 4 cups of Epsom's salts in a warm bath to soothe aching muscles. I use Yoga and breathing exercises and listen to healing tapes to relax my stress and anxiety levels before going to bed. I use a toning table to keep my joints supple and use a sauna to detox as often as possible. I love gently aromatherapy massages with lavender and yalang - yalang oil's for pampering and relaxing my sore neck back and legs is good.Avoid hot spicy foods white sugar and too much tea and coffee and no alcohol -drink herbal teas best. Hope this helps take care - hugs !! are nice when your down if you have someone who really cares.

I suggest the following Shaklee supplements:Energy&FatigueEnergizing Soy Protein - Shaklee Protein is a complete protein with all 9 essential amino acids present in the right proportion and is easily absorbed. It is a vegatable (soybean) protein with no cholesterol, saturated fats, or artificial flavors or preservatives. It is needed to make and repair all tissue cells. It is necessary for building enzymes, antibodies, hormones, hair, skin nails, it curbs the appetite, and is a real"energy"booster and maintains your blood sugar level.CorEnergy: Natural herbal ingredients and antioxidant phytonutrients shown to support and maintain"energy"and resist"fatigue"(Cordyceps, Panax ginseng extract, Green Tea extract).FibromyalgiaVitamin C: strengthens the integrity of connective tissueCoEnzyme Q10: increases cellular energyNutriferon: builds and strengthens immune systemLecithin/GLA: insulates the fibrous sheath of the nerve bundlesCalcium/Magnesium: muscle relaxantOptiflora: increase good bacteriaPhysique: muscle tissue recoveryAs you are aware, quality is key to a supplement - Shaklee is the best in my opinion. For more info or questions, please feel free to contact me.

I was also diagnosed with FMS around that time. My fatigue worsened dramatically over the past 2 or 3 years. I tried various herbal remedies to no avail. I finally saw a Dr. that also treats with herbs. She found through saliva, stool, blood and hair analysis that I have a chronic candida infection, 2 bad bacteria in my digestive tract and andrenal burnout. So, I started taking antibiotics, anitfungal and a very low dose of hydrocortizone along with some suppliments she prescribed. I had 2 wonderful days followed by a period of what was probaly herxing and now I have settled into a stretch of feeling much better than I did before the treatment. I still have to be careful not to overdo it. No staying up late or skipping meals. My advice is this. Don't try to figure this out on your own. Your body is not well and you need to find a Dr. that will test you for the underlying causes of your symptoms. Ask for the tests I mentioned. If you have adreal fatigue, most Dr.s won't treat it with hydrocortizone (they reserve it for addison's disease) so it may cost some out of pocket $$.Good luck!!

My wife had fibro and chronic fatigue for 6 years before we discovered glyconutrients. They were an answer to our prayers. Stay away from pharmaceuticals - they will only complicate things.
