No. Lots of sugar is bad for high cholesterol but fruits are the exception. Bananas actually have something called Photostats, which are a type of plant cholesterol that helps to block the absorption of dietary cholesterol (animal cholesterol). Sterols and Stanly's are also available as a supplement.
Nope they are not bad for you. Potassium is said to help lower bad cholesterol levels. You can get Potasssium by eating bananas, broccoli, potatoes, and tomatoes. Do not tack potassium supplements without the approval of your doctor
Caused me no harm & gave me calories & nutrients. I was five times in no position to toss away anything edible at the time. Circumstances often cause one to do things that ordinarily one would not do.
Nope bananas are great for you...cholesterol is found only in foods of animal origin...you will never find it in a fruit or vegetable. I would honestly recommend the lowering cholesterol diet site here. You will find a lot of info there about almost any kind of cholesterol issue and treatment!
yes
Bananas have a Glycemic Load value of 12 and are considered a "Medium Glycemic Carbohydrate" which raise your blood sugar, trigger insulin and raise your blood fats (triglycerides). A low Glycemic Load meal is 10 or less. Medium Glycemic Load is 11-19 and any Glycemic Load meal ranked 20 or more is a high Glycemic Load. I only eat a half a banana a day.
