Ask the guys who appeared as the Marlborough Man in the cigarette commercials; Wayne McLaren, David McLean and Dick Hammer - hang on - I remember now - you can't 'cause they all died from lung cancer.
No. Why do you ask? Are you making your funeral arrangements?
The sad thing about cigarette smoking is that when you DIE, it's going to KILL YOU! You will suffer and wonder why nobody said it was going to be an excruciatingly painful death. How old are you?
No, but sucking on them when they are lit does. The other caveat to this issue is that if you are smoking pure tobacco that has been processed the "old fashioned way" like the American Indians and the way it is done in Turkey today, then the answer will be no those cigarettes made to those standards do NOT cause cancer. You see, American cigarettes are made in high speed production using drying kilns that alter the nutrient structure of the tobacco and then they add lots of toxic substances to the tobacco that cause the Lung Cancer.
A two year study was done by the Turkish government to see the cause of death from those that smoked the Turkish (pure tobacco) with non smokers. There were 100's of thousands of participants and what was found that there was no difference in the death rate of those smoking that pure tobacco with those that did not smoke.
There is an added element to American tobacco that is now causing huge problems with people's health that smoke American cigarettes. It is called genetic engineering that is producing lots of foreign proteins in the tobacco and we have not seen the worst from this yet.
well i never smoked a soggy in my life but my mother has.
she gave me lung cancer by second hand smoke so probably they could be a cause of lung cancer
