Default Metastasis breast cancer, my mom's battle? - 01-25-2010, 12:12 AM

I have recently lost my mom to breast cancer on 12/4/2010. My mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer summer of 2003. They took the tumor out and she was cancer free for 2 years. Unfortunately we did not do any research or know anything about cancer until it was to late. I spent hours and hours looking for a survivor. This was the end of my mom's 5 years... her cancer came back in 2005, but this time on her lungs. She did chemo and 2 tumors were almost gone and the third one was about the same. Her oncologist said my mom was going to be OK. That the tumors were not that bad... I ignored all the information i studied on line. Then June of this year, the tumors started growing, the clinical trials did not work and neither did the second round of chemo. Also a tumor came on her brain. She went to Reno to have to have the gamma knife to remove the tumor. We found a place in Mexico called Issels... they have hundreds of testimonials of curing terminal cancer patients. We gave it a shot, she left for 4 weeks in August. When she got home she started having major migraines... and the worst happened. In 2 1/2 months the cancer stole m mom from me. She had 13 tumors on her brain, one in her spine, sinus, kidney, and had 3 on the surface of her skin. Her new oncologist gave us hope, i truly think my mom knew it was the end. She did radiation everyday on her back and brain for 4 weeks, and started 2 types of chemo... she withered away.
On thanksgiving we went to the ER because she was coughing so bad, they said she had an ammonia ... i was still in denial thinking she was going to be OK.
I don't mean to go on and on... I'm just still trying to cope with this. So i was just wondering if there is anyone out there that is a survivor from metastasis breast cancer.... has anyone personally been treated at Issels??? I hate to believe that place is a scam.
THANK YOU

There are plenty of people who survive for some time with stage 4 breast cancer the question is for how long, as it is not curable and her doctor should have told her that. I cannot imagine any doctor saying lung me ts of any size are ?not that bad.?
Any place that uses testimonials and claims to cure incurable disease is a scam.

have not been to that place. But, Pray. If Jesus Christ can bring people back from death (me), heal the sick..then your mom has hope & chance...What may be impossible to man, is possible with God.

Go & See about a Christian who has Gift of Healing, see about a church where they have prayer services, like the kind where they "lay hands on the sick" & do deliverance, the kind where they have true prophets at. God is still able to heal. He sometimes does miracles, but, often uses a willing vessel/human.

If God reveals a direction, do it, with no compromise. No matter what people say. usually what God leads to, reveals, convicts you to do or not do, etc will not make sense to other people. But, A healing and a breakthrough is on the other side of you following that direction.

God wants you all to want him more than anything that's created.. upon this Earth.

Walk by faith, not by sight, and you must be willing to obey.
And testimony book may be required of your experience in the end thereof. - Look up Healing Rooms, these places should be praying for you. I think they are all free. - i knew someone very close with breast cancer, and God has healed it, through prayer, deliverance, by a prophet of God.

Blessings as u 2 follow His Will.
Love God. Love wisdom. Live.

I am so sorry for your loss. I've been imagining myself in your position for 12 years since my mom's original breast cancer diagnoses. She was in remission for about 5 years when they found it spread to her lungs. Since then it has also spread to her hip bone, liver and colon with a second breast cancer diagnoses in between. My mom's been on chemo and Herceptin every week for over 5 years. The most recent me ts is in her colon and it doesn't look like the treatment is working after 4 months, per CT scan she just had done. But we still have hope.

She's never been to any "outside" treatment centers or doctors, she's gone to the same one since day one. Either she has alto of faith in her doctors or doesn't want to go into debt traveling for a treatment that might not work any better than what she is on.

It sounds like your mom was a fighter and that is very admirable. I'm sure she loved you VERY much but she is in a better place now. God bless.
