I'm a 25 year survivor. I believe several factors work together. I quit the Chemo after 3months...that was my own personal choice, and I don't necessarily recommend that for everyone. Faith in Jesus Christ is what kept me going and I believe He healed me. Why, I don't know. He took many, many friends and family members after that. Surround her with love, positive conversations, talk about happy times, keep her from being depressed...shower her with bright, colorful, happy colors.. robes, house dresses (I had one they called Joseph's coat because it was so bright). I truly believe that the patients state of mind has a great deal to do with survival. And today, they have so much more knowledge than they did years ago. If she believes in Jesus, read the Scriptures to her or have her write them on cards..healing Scriptures. If she does not, introduce her to Him. When one believes in Jesus, and is a true Christian, Cancer is a win-win situation. If death comes, we go to Heaven..if not, we still have work to do. God bless.. will be praying for her.

Your question is too vague.
At a minimum we need to know her age, what kind of cancer it is, the stage, the grade and her hormone receptor status in order to answer you.

Breast cancer is fairly survivable as long as they caught it prior to it spreading to other organs like the lungs. Survival after a full surgical resection and radiation is pretty high these days. Best Wishes

Highly likely, if one avoids rushing into chemo, or a mastectomy (in case) and focus on health and healing. This takes time, but a change in attitude, diet and lifestyle and the faith in finding what works for you, can make all the difference.
All the best, Nvrgvup

Very Well. I am a Survivor. My Father is a 14 year Survivor...and just turned 70. Back then I didn't even know if he was going to walk me down the aisle. His Breast Cancer was a stage 3. Mine was a stage 1. My Dear Friend's Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, and they gave her 3 months to live. It turned out they were wrong and 5 years later she is STILL Alive. You have nothing to worry about. Your Aunt will keep fighting and be fine..just like the rest of us.

Nobody here will be able to say for certain. In order to draw an accurate conclusion, you'd need to tell us the stage of disease, the type of breast cancer, her age, the grade of cancer, and whether or not these cancer cells have certain hormone receptors.

Nevertheless, most localized breast cancers can be easily treated with surgery - a lumpectomy or a mastectomy - chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapy, etc. Compared with most abdominal and thoracic cancers, breast cancer has quite a high survival rate.

Make sure she eats an abundance of fruits and vegetables, and adheres to a healthy lifestyle.

Good luck!
