my mam has breast cancer, she had operation to remove her right breast and some cancer in her arm pits as well, today we found out she needs to Harv radiotherapy and chemo, why is this? i dint understand why she has to Harv two???? somebody please help

Chemotherapy goes into the blood and reaches distant organs. So it will treat any metastasis. Radiotherapy is for treating the local tum our area and to limit its spread.
Remember that the psychological factor is very important for cure. There are good face book fan pages for breast cancer. Let her join in as this will give her much hope and optimisms

if I'm correct she could have a specific type of cancer that could properly be killed off by it. in science, there is a thing called the magnetic spectrum which holds seven types of rays, gamma and radio can be used in medical to kill off cancerous cells. but this one would properly be used to minimizeXehe healthy tissues, this might be incorrect since i have only learnt this recently

My friend had the same as your mum but as the breast and the lymph nodes under her arm were removed she only needed radiotherapy and the doctor told her she didn't need the chemo because the breast had been removed. My sister had breast cancer and only had the lump removed and the lymph nodes from under her arm and she had chemo and is about to start her radiotherapy. Good Luck
