Default Can you really donate your excess skin to burn victims and if so how? - 01-13-2009, 11:13 PM

I have had 6 children - 4 natural and 2 c-section and I have excess belly skin. Have had it for 8 years and can't get rid of it at all. I heard that there are doctors that will remove it and donate it to burn victims. Is that true and if so who do I get ahold of?

No.For burn victims they remove some skin cells from the victim and grow them into sheets of new skin.

She did tell me that her Doctor told her about this other Doctor and she would only have to pay $2000.00 for Happy gas Doctor .Sorry I don't ahve more info for you.

Up to now no such transplant takes place in medical history. Maybe, it is possible, but it cost a lot, because this transplantation requires services of doctors, nurses, anesthetists, and other health care professionals and also the operating equipment. On the other hand, if skin is taken from the victim, then it only requires a trained tissue recover technician.
