I burnt my thumb and middle finger about an hour ago. I ran it under cold water for about 10 mins and put ice on ever since.It still has a burning sensation.Is there anything else I can do to help and how long will the pain last?

Take Advil to reduce the inflammation and keep it on ice until bed time.

If you can, find a bucket or basin and fill it up with cool water, the pain from the burn sounds like a first degree, kind of like a sunburn, if you've ever been sunburned, it takes a few hours to a couple of days for the pain to go away. Since it's just your digits, it should diminish in an hour or so.

it depends on how badly burnt it is it can last anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks. to help it put a lot of aloe vera on it.

If you can go to vitamin chain store (the Community Guidelines prohibit me from giving the stores name), this is he only store I know that sells Lavender Essential oil. This oil will prevent scarring and blisters and any infections. I've used it for years even on cuts. I keep it in the kitchen.
