Default Bowel Problems associated with mental disorder? - 12-13-2008, 02:11 PM

does anyone know or have they heard of this and if so is there a name for it?I have a friend who has issues with"movements"but for years the doctors are not giving any answers but to give the mirilax (sp?) powder for her to take on a regular basis. So they just say it is a problem or issue but not IBS?It seems as though it is associated with her moods or emotions.Who should she see? She saw a specialist and they ruled out diseases.. like crones. ------

The Bowel problems cause lot of disturbance in the stomach. It may cause even headaches and a strained mind.Best way out could be:a) Give thumb pressure on each palm-in the middle, for 30 seconds in the mornings and evenings.b) Start your day with 2-3 glasses of warm water. Try to consume 12-14 glasses of water during the day. Ensure that the color of the urine is maintained colorless or light yellow.c) take 3-spoonfull of White Barley, boiled for 1-minute, in a cup of milk. You may add one spoonfull of Honey, to sweeten it.d) While passing the stool, press your index finger on the chin. ------

They may be completely unrelated, or she simply may be"moody"because of how unwell her condition makes her feel. That said, please have her screened for Celiac Disease. Many doctors miss this condition. It has been noted that some patients experience psychological symptoms. ------
