Default Blood disorders and pregnancy? - 01-22-2009, 02:41 AM

Hi all,I have met with high risk OBs, and a hematologist to discuss how I'd do should I get pregnant. I just turned 33 and have a history of stroke, but it's been 9 years and I've been okay since then. They did extensive blood work and found that I have a moderately high level of antibodies that up my risk of blood clots and strokes. They would treat me with lovenox and aspirin during pregnancy - the same as if I had a blood clotting disorder like Factor V Leiden. They told me that, with treatment, my odds of having a successful pregnancy would be quite favorable.Anyone out there that has been pregnant with a blood clotting disorder? How did it go?Thanks.

The condition known as endometriosis is caused when the internal lining of the uterus, the endometrium starts growing on the external wall of the uterus. Endometriosis and pregnancy are to be considered in the same breath because endometriosis commonly affects women in the child bearing age and may prevent pregnancy.

After you have experienced signs of pregnancy, it's important to visit your doctor and check for various irregularities that might crop up during pregnancy. One of them is high blood pressure which could be fatal to you and the baby.
