Default What kind of birth control is good for me? - 12-18-2008, 09:41 AM

I was on the birth control patch for 3 1/2 years. I loved it at first but in the last 6 months I have been felling really moody all the time. My periods have been strange. No energy.....and worst of all a low sex drive. I need my yearly exam this week and i am considering taking another form of birth control any suggestions?

Talk to your healthcare provider...different things are better for different people. Think about whether you can remember to take a pill every day, are you planning on trying to become pregnant in the next several years, would you want to return regularly for birth control injections...? There are also nonhormonal forms of birth control you can consider. All things to think about...then you and your health care provider can choose the option that is best for you.

Ask if Loestrin 24 fe is good for you. It is a low dose pill and it has helped me with cramps. I only got moody for the first week or so. I haven't gained weight, I've actually lost. Plus, my skin cleared up wonderfully.

If you want to put off your period, then you can continue to take your birth control pills for several weeks of them at a time. You can also opt to purchase pills that are packaged in a way that makes them easier to take several weeks in a row. The majority of birth control pills are safe and can be taken for two or three months in a row without complications. Nevertheless, you should still confirm this with your doctor before you attempt to do so.

For such things, the best person to give you advice is your doctor, not anyone at all. Please consult your doctor , all the best.

Sterilization or tube tying through laparoscopy is best for permanent solution if you don't want baby more. without fear of sex life.
