Is my Asthma coming back? -

Hey guys (and girls), not sure if this is the right forum since I may not be suffering from asthma, so I apologise if I'm in the wrong place.
I've been to the doctors lately because I've had other health issues, which may or may not be due to anxiety so this may tie into it, I'll have to wait for my blood test results to come back to see if I have a problem or if it's all in my head.
Anyway since I woke up this morning my breathing has been very strange, as though I can't quite get enough air in my lungs, so I have to take deep breaths in through my mouth every few minutes. Sometimes when I do this I get a mild shooting pain in the lower part of my chest. There is no wheezing when I breath as far as I can hear (though I do have a slight whistle when I breathe through my nose, and blowing it doesn't seem to stop it). My chest has that same clogged up/grainy feeling you get when wheezing. I've had trouble breathing when trying to sleep at night sometimes and occasionally throughout the day on and off for months (this was before I had my other health issues).
I had asthma as a child for about 8 or 9 years, I can't quite remember but I think I came off my inhaler (had a blue one, can't remember what that one is) when I was around 13, I'm 20 now and will be 21 in July, so it's been almost 8 years since I had problems with asthma.
Basically I was wondering if this is due to anxiety or if my asthma is coming back.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
A
